Insides.

William’s insides bubbled. He can feel his insides doing back flips. Insects fluttering inside his stomach, making him queasy and excited all at once. He hasn’t felt this way since he was a mere child. But today was different. Today Tori was coming home.

Caitlin had been gone for what felt like ages, when it had really only been two weeks. See Caitlin had gone to visit her family, giving William every chance to come along. But he declined, wanting to give her some space. See she was from Australia, and living in the U.S. you can only imagine how much she must miss her family and friends. I mean it takes almost an entire day by plane to get back home! William doesn’t think he’d ever be able to do that, and for that he admirer’s her.

William cannot sit still, waiting at the airport. His insides are jumping to much for him to sit down. He drums his fingers and taps his feet, before finally having to jump out of his seat and pace the waiting area.

Caitlin’s flight is late, so this makes William’s insides even crazier. All he wants is to see his girlfriend' face, and hug her and kiss her. Do all the things he’s been missing for an eternity two weeks now.

William walks up to the window and sticks his face to it, watching all the landing planes, hoping one holds Caitlin.

Then finally, after what seems like forever, her plane lands. William is filled with an urge to jump up and down. He compromises with his insides by bouncing from heel to toe, rocking forwards and backwards.

As the passengers start to disembark, William stands on his toes, peeking over the crowd, waiting for Caitlin to walk out. When William finally spots him he runs over, nearly knocking his lover over. And let me tell you, his insides had never been happier.
